Education
Dr. Dimitrios Motakis is a graduate of McGill University, where he completed his medical degree (MD), his doctorate in medical research (PhD), as well as his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Motakis is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC). He has also subspecialized in aesthetic and breast surgery.
Dr. Motakis has made numerous scientific contributions in medicine and specifically in plastic surgery. He has received several honors and awards including the Medical Research Council of Canada (MRC) Scholarship.
He has authored several chapters in facial rejuvenation and has given several presentations and lectures to professionals and the general public. He has also published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and magazines. Dr. Motakis has also actively engaged as an instructor for the Plastic Surgery Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship Program with the University of Toronto.
